Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of our website and your agreement when you hire Family Cleanout Junk Removal LLC for junk removal services. Please read them carefully before scheduling service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the website at https://www.familyjunkremovalcleanout.com, calling or texting us to request service, or scheduling and receiving junk removal services from Family Cleanout Junk Removal LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services. These Terms of Service apply to all customers, visitors, and users of our website and services.

These Terms of Service should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

2. Services Provided

Family Cleanout Junk Removal LLC provides residential and commercial junk removal, estate cleanouts, hoarder home cleanouts, appliance removal, furniture removal, garage cleanouts, yard waste removal, flooded basement cleanup, eviction cleanouts, construction debris removal, and related services throughout Norwich, Connecticut and Eastern Connecticut.

We reserve the right to refuse any job or item at our sole discretion, including but not limited to jobs that present safety hazards, require permits we do not hold, or involve items we are legally prohibited from transporting or disposing of.

All services are subject to availability. Same-day service is offered based on crew and equipment availability and cannot be guaranteed in all circumstances.

3. Quotes & Pricing

All pricing is based on volume, load size, item type, access difficulty, and disposal requirements. Quotes provided by phone, text, or on-site are estimates until our crew has visually assessed the full scope of work.

A final, firm price will be confirmed by our crew on-site before any work begins. You have the right to accept or decline the final price before we start. No work will begin until you verbally or in writing approve the final quoted price.

Prices shown on our website (e.g., on our Pricing page) are starting estimates only and do not constitute a binding quote. Actual pricing varies by job.

Pricing Includes:

4. Payment Terms

Payment is due in full upon completion of each job unless otherwise agreed in writing in advance. We accept cash, major credit and debit cards, and check. We do not extend credit terms to residential customers.

For commercial or recurring accounts, alternative payment arrangements may be made in writing prior to service.

All payments must be made to Family Cleanout Junk Removal LLC. Receipts are available upon request. For large jobs, a deposit may be required to confirm scheduling.

5. Scheduling & Cancellation Policy

Appointments are scheduled based on crew and equipment availability. We will confirm your scheduled time window by phone or text.

Cancellations: We request at least 4 hours' notice for cancellations or reschedules. Cancellations made with less than 4 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to $50 to cover crew scheduling and dispatch costs.

We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to weather, equipment issues, crew availability, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will notify you as promptly as possible and work with you to find an alternative time.

6. Customer Responsibilities

By scheduling service with us, you represent and agree that:

  • check_circle You are the owner of the property or have legal authority to authorize junk removal from the property.
  • check_circle You have the right to dispose of all items you ask us to remove.
  • check_circle You will ensure safe and reasonable access to the property and the items to be removed.
  • check_circle You will disclose any known hazardous materials (asbestos, mold, chemicals) before we arrive so we can assess safety appropriately.
  • check_circle All items designated for removal are accurate and complete as described or depicted in any quote.
  • check_circle You will not ask us to remove items that you do not have legal authority to dispose of.

7. Prohibited Items

We are unable to remove the following items due to legal, safety, or environmental regulations:

cancel Asbestos or asbestos-containing materials
cancel Lead paint or lead-contaminated materials
cancel Hazardous chemicals, solvents, or pesticides
cancel Motor oil, gasoline, or flammable liquids
cancel Medical or biohazardous waste
cancel Firearms, ammunition, or explosives
cancel Radioactive materials
cancel Items requiring special permits for disposal

If prohibited items are discovered at the job site, we reserve the right to decline removal of those specific items. The customer will remain responsible for proper disposal of prohibited items. The presence of prohibited items does not entitle the customer to cancel or reduce payment for other items removed.

8. Property & Damage

We are fully licensed and insured in the State of Connecticut. Our team takes reasonable care when removing items from your property to minimize the risk of accidental damage.

Pre-existing damage: We are not responsible for pre-existing damage to property, structures, walls, floors, or items. You should note and communicate any known fragile or pre-damaged areas before work begins.

Claims: Any claim for property damage alleged to have been caused by our crew must be reported to us in writing within 48 hours of service completion. Claims reported after 48 hours may not be eligible for coverage.

Our liability for any property damage claim is limited to the cost of reasonable repair or replacement of the damaged item, not to exceed the total amount paid for the service in which the damage occurred.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Connecticut and applicable federal law, Family Cleanout Junk Removal LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our website or services.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from your use of our services shall not exceed the total amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms of Service limits our liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or where limitation is prohibited by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Family Cleanout Junk Removal LLC, its owner, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

You may not use our website to:

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New London County, Connecticut. You consent to personal jurisdiction in Connecticut for this purpose.
